It is Tuesday evening and most of us are exhausted, having slept little on the plane from New York to Accra. Luggage for Ruth, Eleanor and myself didn't arrive. However, Rob arrived a day earlier and his luggage came on our plane, one day later, so we are hopeful ours will be here tomorrow. The flight was long but uneventful. Nana met us at the airport and brought us to Aburi and to the Youth Center where we met 27 energetic Ghanaian volunteers who inspired us with their singing and welcoming spirit. It was awesome. Tomorrow we will be picked up at 8 am and begin work. We will attempt some pictures of the work site in the next blog. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes.

Glad you arrived safely and for the happy reception. Wonderful. Fingers crossed for missing luggage.
You looked beautifully organized when you departed.
Thinking of you often and the meaningful interactions undoubtedly already starting within your own group as well as with the Ghanians.
Thanks for the news.
Blessings!

Dearest Friends in Aburi - We prayed for you this morning by name. Wonderful to hear that you are there safely - in spite of left luggage. Please give our special greetings to Nana.
Peace and grace,
Cate

Enjoy the people of Ghana. I loved your departure picture and I continue to doodle (prayerfully) on every page of the prayer book. The 8 year olds arrive any minute for the first week of Grandma camp. Love to all. Peggy

Hello to all! I am preparing the sermon for next Sunday and it is on Elijah passing the mantle to Elisha. Elisha asks for a double measure of his mentor's spirit, and it is granted. I thank God that you have accepted the mantle and trust that a double portion of the Spirit is with you. Blessings! Margaret Ann

I hope all is beyond your expectations on this wonderful trip!
I am with all of you in spirit!
Looks as though it may be USA and Ghana playing next in the World Cup...how exciting!
Miss being there.
Love and best wishes,
